Princess Headbutt | Green and Sometimes Blue EP (Noise Star Music)
Why anyone would choose to name their band Princess Headbutt, the mind boggles. Dodgy names aside, 'Green and Sometimes Blue' is actually a damn fine little EP. Jumpy skippity-hop jazz freak-outs tend to dominate most of the songs, with vocals making just a rare appearance (this is good). Trumpets and saxophones slip into the mix in all the right places (though it does sound suspiciously like they were fiddled from samples and computer programs), and the static sounding guitar solo in Pickle is very effective in its jaunty, cheeky simplicity.
