The Hommos | Cosmos Rock (Deltasonic)
A quintet apparently from Stockholm and all under the age of 22, The Hommos instead appear to have emerged straight from the gutters of New York City. Rattling garage rock to its very foundations, The Hommos are hardly revolutionary, yet still gripping enough to have you wishing for the arrival of their debut LP, especially when they whip up lashings of compatriots The Hives and singer Fabian Nystrom comes over all Iggy Pop. More promising still, they shower sprinklings of Talking Heads over b-side Unpleasant Surprise.
