Minor Threat | First Demo Tape (Dischord)
Recorded during 1981 on a 4-track in a child's bedroom, 'First Demo Tape' is the self-explanatory debut set from Ian MacKaye's Minor Threat. Never previously released in this form, these songs are now available having been discovered during Dischord's recent re-appraisal of their back-catalogue. Featuring 8 tracks that last for just 9 minutes, these are mini-riots that stop almost as soon as they start. With backing vocals from Henry Garfield (aka Rollins), Minor Threat unleash primal political rants, best served during the landslide of Guilty Of Being White. It's seminal, it's influential - consider it essential.
